This week, the teams forming the CS Research Lab met in Toulon to collaborate on situational awareness and area surveillance themes.
The REPTILE project was at the heart of our discussions: a large set of scenarios in a defined and highly complex geopolitical and strategic context, covering mainly maritime, port, and urban areas.
This project is also a unifying initiative, which brings together the skills and work of each researcher to achieve ambitious objectives:
- A harmonized evaluation of information fusion solutions from various sources and sensors (criteria, metrics, methods, simulations)
- A unification of processing across fusion levels
- The representation, measurement, and management of uncertainty to enable a quality understanding of the situation in a realistic operational context
Over the two days, valuable discussions about our work and opportunities to enjoy friendly moments were just as important for team cohesion and effectiveness.
